Arriving at this spot on the American River prior to sunrise was rewarded by this unique image. If I was still shooting film I probably wouldn't have taken this shot knowing the highlights on the water would be severely overexposed. Digital photography has greatly increased my creative shooting as the fear of burning film no longer exists.
